Illvilja:About
From Illvilja
This site is my private corner of the internet, just because I feel like having a domain of my own that I can use on my own whim.
Who I am? Jakob Ilves (in a distant past my name were Jakob Kristiansson, until I decided to take my mother's surname that I have today). Born and raised in good old Gothenburg in Sweden but since 1996, I am living in Stockholm. Me and my dear wife have four children in very varying ages (oldest born 1989, youngest in 2007) so there is no shortage of things to do for us. Sorry, but that brief summary is all personal information about me I can provide for now, not because such information is classified or so but due to time constraints. Some information about me as a IT professional can be found at my page at LinkedIn. I also got a blog but I doubt that will provide much additional information about me as a person, as it is pretty inactive and random in any content I manage to get around to post.
The nick 'IllvilJa' is actually a Swedish word that means 'illwill' or 'malice' in English. The story behind it's origin will be told elsewhere (it's not that intresting) but it is more a 'witty' play with the letters involved in my name than something that relates with my personality. (To be frank, I'm not a particularly nasty, destructive or mean spirited person. Honest!)
I have very limited time to spend on this site, so that is why it's look and feel is so "out of the box MediaWiki" and contains a lot of unneeded features ("Donations" at the left for instance) which I have not yet had time to remove. That's also why it is containing pretty few pages.
Other than that, this particular page you are viewing this moment has been vandalized (and apparently for quite some time!!) by some "external link spammer". So, once upon a time this page contained something more elaborate, and hopefully more intelligent than what you are reading now but that specific version of the page has been lost (falling off the far edge of the list of revisions or something).
(I'll keep an eye on user account creation and perhaps disable it, in the future. Grumble. OTOH, I did not know that user account creation even did work...)
